No matter what happens, those that audition for programs like American Idol, The Voice, and America’s Got Talent deserve recognition and praise.
It calls for guts and the ability to get through anxieties of failing and incompetence. That is commendable and deserves praise.
A Filipino fisherman and deliveryman named Roland Abante had a dream of appearing on America’s Got Talent and showcasing his musical talent to a global audience.
Despite being nervous and requiring an interpreter to speak with the judges, Roland astounded everyone with his outstanding performance.
When ‘When a Man Loves a Woman’ starts playing, Roland’s anxiety vanishes, despite the fact that he may have been apprehensive
during his back-and-forth with the judges. It’s amazing to watch, because as soon as the song’s opening notes play, he eases into the beat and starts to snap along.
The young Filipino performer then starts singing the song’s opening verses, shocking everyone—including Simon Cowell.
Not only Simon but everyone else was taken off guard. A young woman is captured on camera with her mouth gaping in awe at Roland’s amazing voice.
Before his audition is even finished, Roland has the audience standing and cheering. It’s a lovely sight to behold!
As the song goes on, it’s clear that he only grows more and more confident. At the conclusion of
his performance, Roland receives a well-deserved standing ovation from the entire audience.
The judges expressed their shock and awe at Roland’s stunning audition. The ambitious vocalist
receives compliment after compliment from all four judges. Even further, Howie Mandel referred to Roland’s audition as a ‘life-changing moment.’
Four resounding ‘yes’ votes are cast in favor of Roland throughout the voting process. He has advanced to the following round!
