Boogie-woogie is a type of music style that is made up of upbeat tones, swing notes, and a rhythm comparable to blues. The audience jives along as one young musician performs a bit of boogie-woogie on the piano.
This style of music faded in popularity but is coming back due to dancers and competitive artists using it as their soundtrack when performing. A pianist by the name of Ladyva put her spin by creating a piano piece inspired by boogie-woogie music.
She started playing the piano at just 14 years old. A couple of years later, Ladyva began performing in front of an audience with her brother Pascal. Whenever she plays for people, her innocent look and incredible talent seem to light up the room.
Ladyva makes every note she plays clean and precise while managing to play at a lightning-fast speed. The crowd quickly claps and dances along with the skilled young lady. She even won the “Best Boogie Woogie Pianist” of 2017 at the Boisdale Music Awards.
