12-year-old Lifie Andrews has messy hair and wears the typical tween outfit of trousers and a T-shirt.
He shares the same appearance as other boys his age who enjoy staying up late to play video games and ride bicycles through the streets. However, this child has a particularly good voice.
Alfie is from the UK, but he traveled to AGT with his ‘auntie’ because his parents couldn’t go because of job obligations.
This was a vacation that was absolutely worthwhile. Alfie Andrew is my name. I’m from Manchester,
England, and I’m 12 years old. Before entering the judges’ chamber, he declared, ‘I am a singer.
‘I began singing when I was a year and a day old.’
Alfie aspires to pursue a career as a singer.
It has always been my desire to be a singer so I can
record my own songs and go on a sell-out tour, therefore my audition for America’s Got Talent means a lot to me, he said.
Andrew was aware that he needed to make a solid first impression on the judges. He consequently wore a look
that immediately won Judge Simon Cowell over: a timeless black T-shirt and jeans, which are also Cowell’s go-to ensemble.
The respected judge praised it.
‘May I make a comment? When Andrews entered the stage, Cowell praised him for his ‘cool’ appearance.
Really, it just functions. You appear to be seriously cool. Andrew responded with a smile, ‘Thank you.’
Although Alfie’s music career got off to a head start, musical aptitude did not run in his family.
While his mother worked on nails, his father repaired cars. Alfie then took the stage and performed a
Lady Gaga cover of ‘Hold My Hand,’winning over the four judges with his rendition of the song.
He sings in exorbitant registers!
Although the Manchester native confessed he was ‘nervous’l’ to perform in front of so many people, this is not the first time he has done so.
He performs as a busker on Manchester’s streets.
Andrews has no qualms about performing songs by some of the finest vocalists in music history.
He performs renditions of songs like Lady Gaga, Adele, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston,
and more on his YouTube channel and Facebook page. And for a 12-year-old, what a voice.
The judges gushed with appreciation.
‘Wow, Alfie, I mean, you can really sing,’ exclaimed Klum. ‘You’ve got it down pat.’
He received praise from Cowell for his ‘very distinct’ voice.
I believe coming here was the perfect choice for you, he remarked. ‘I just can’t get over that. The people are going to remember you, they’re going to support you, and you’re so cool.’
Alfie received four ‘yes’ votes, as expected, and Cowell even stepped up to stand next to him on stage while wearing a matching suit.
The small youngster became tearful when ‘Alfie’ chants from the crowd erupted. He is one singer who we will undoubtedly see more of.
