Man’s powerful performance of “Us” leaves judge in tears on live television

Michael Ketterer’s Incredible AGT Audition Brings Judge to Tears

Michael Ketterer, a pediatric mental health specialist and father of six, made a triumphant return to the America’s Got Talent stage for his second performance on the show. His first audition had earned him the Golden Buzzer from judge Simon Cowell, sending him straight to the live performances.

For his second performance, Michael chose to sing “Us” by James Bay, a powerful and emotional song that showcased his incredible vocal talent. By the time he finished, the entire audience and all four judges were on their feet applauding him.

But it was Simon Cowell’s reaction that stole the show. Overcome with emotion, Simon struggled to speak and wipe away his tears. As a father himself, he empathized deeply with Michael’s story and the love he had for his children.

“I can’t imagine what you’ve done, let alone being on this program. You desperately need it, and you’re a very unique individual. I’m not sure what it is about you!” Simon said, his voice breaking.

Even Mel B was moved to tears, scribbling on her papers to try to compose herself.

Michael’s powerful performance and touching story left everyone in awe, and it’s no wonder he earned the Golden Buzzer on his first audition.
