People frequently surprise you, especially when it comes to programs like America’s Got Talent, The Voice, and American Idol.
The judges, those in the crowd, and everyone watching at home are constantly floored by folks striving to be professional singers, comedians, dancers, acrobats, and everything in between.
One of those welcome surprises on America’s Got Talent was 12-year-old Alfie Andrews from Manchester, England.
Everyone was taken aback by his stunning, soulful, and distinctive-sounding voice. His performance of Lady Gaga’s ‘Hold My Hand’ was incredible.
The young man’s voice has such a lovely tone and is very smooth. Alfie also displays excellent control and the capacity to reach, strike, and hold high notes during his audition.
He holds the attention of the judges and the studio audience the entire time. He commands their attention
with his voice and awe-inspiring performance. However, Alife kicks things up a notch about 2:50 into the 5-and-a-half-minute footage.
Few people in the audience or seated at the judge’s table were expecting the high note he hits and holds.
Then, at the 3:10 mark, Alfie repeats the performance, striking even another amazingly high note.
The panel of judges and the studio audience stand up and give the young Englishman a rousing round of applause.
Alfie doesn’t seem alarmed despite the tremendously good response to his singing. He accepts everything calmly.
When the judges are asked to provide feedback, they are all highly complimentary in their assessments. Even Sofa Vergara claims that she would immediately purchase Alfie’s record.
Given their remarks and the audience’s response, it’s hardly surprising that Alfie garnered four yes votes from the judges.
