Darci Lynne Farmer loved to sing as a child, but she was so afraid that she never got the chance to perform in front of an audience. That is, until she honed her puppetry skills.With a little help from her parents, she was crowned International Mini Miss at the age of ten. She met Laryssa Bonacquisti, a young ventriloquist who holds the International Teen title. Dari’s talent immediately began to stun audience. Her ventriloquist performance is made much more impressive by the fact that she makes her puppets sing. Darci can sing, and she does so without opening her mouth! Darci and her puppet, a cute, girly rabbit named Petunia, performed “Summertime” from Porgy and Bess on the twelfth season of America’s Got Talent in 2017.
Mel B was blown away and gave Lynne her golden buzzer, which brought the small girl to tears. Within 30 hours of airing, the performance had become the most watched video in the show’s history, ranking fourth on YouTube’s top 10 trending videos of 2017. Darci is back on American Got Talent. Lynne takes the stage with Oscar, looking all grown up and glowing as she and her companion play ‘Let the good times roll.’ She seemed to be more at ease on stage now! Darci asks questions about Oscar’s dating life prior to the song, to which he responds with an amusing story about a girlfriend. Oscar claims that Samantha the squirrel never sits still. Have you ever had a hyper girlfriend? Oscar rants to Darci about how Samantha drives him insane at times.
Isn’t that what partnerships are all about? In true entertainer style, Lynne segues into Oscar advising him that he worries too much and that he should just let the good times roll. I believe the crowd understood. This viewer also made an excellent observation. Isn’t it true that AGT can’t get enough of Darci? Since winning, she’s been a guest every season. But I’m not complaining. She’s incredible and never lets you down. ‘Darci’s performance had significantly more views than the defending champion.’ Just watch Darci sing without moving her mouth! She sings much better with her lips open than most people.
Not to belittle other singers, but try singing without opening your mouth. Darci effortlessly hits note after note! Even the four judges have joined in! ‘How come this lady sings better than 90% of today’s top artists…. with her mouth CLOSED!’ ….. AMAZING’ Rahul Soni remarked. Darci is a true artist. It’s difficult not to adore this young lady, and even if you’re not a fan of ventriloquists, you can’t deny Lynne’s vocal skill. Consider what she could accomplish with a microphone and moving lips.
